The brief.
Konstruct was engaged to carry out inspection and remedial works on an isolated cooling structure at a Queensland power station. The structure had been taken offline, and Konstruct's scope was to access the isolated unit, inspect its condition, and replace damaged components within scope so that the operator could plan its return to service.
The challenge.
The work required safe access into an isolated structure that had been taken out of service, an environment that demands careful entry and a methodical approach. Inspecting an older structure of this kind calls for a close, systematic assessment to identify which components are degraded and which require replacement, and the remedial work then has to be carried out within a confined and ageing structure.
How we delivered.
Konstruct accessed the isolated structure and carried out a systematic inspection of its condition, identifying the damaged components within the agreed scope. The team replaced those components and documented the work and the conditions observed, providing the operator with a clear record of what was inspected, what was replaced, and the condition found. The works were completed safely and within Konstruct's defined scope.
The outcome.
Konstruct completed the inspection and the remedial component replacement, and delivered a documented record of the structure's condition and the works carried out to the operator. The job reflects Konstruct's inspection and make-safe capability on ageing industrial structures, combining safe access with the practical trade skills to assess and act on what is found.
