High-rise glazing.

Installation, replacement, and sealing — delivered on rope access. No scaffolding delays for repair and replacement work, IRATA-trained crew, ISO-accredited safety and quality systems.

What we do.

Konstruct delivers high-rise glazing across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and broader Queensland. Replacement of failed or damaged panes, installation of new glazing systems on commercial and residential high-rise, and sealant work where the glass-to-frame interface is the source of water ingress. Most work is delivered on rope access — the same crew that diagnoses the problem can be on the building the same week, without standing up scaffold.

Where scaffolding is the right tool — large new-install programmes, structures where rope anchorages are limited — we’ll say so. We don’t pitch the access method we prefer; we pitch the one that fits the job.

Where it fits.

Replacement glazing

Single panes, full units, IGU swaps. Common cause is impact damage, seal failure that’s allowed water in, or panes flagged in a façade inspection. We coordinate with the building manager on access windows, deliver the glass to the floor it’s needed on, and complete the change-out without disrupting tenants below.

New install

Curtain wall and punched-window glazing for new builds and refits. Our director has run specialist glazing contractors at scale; the qualification chain runs from glass fabrication through to installation, not just install.

Sealant and weatherproofing

Failed perimeter seals, mullion joints, and gasket replacement. Often paired with water leak detection when the source of a leak isn’t obvious from inside the building.

What it includes.

  • Access survey, anchor identification, and written access plan
  • Public liability and professional indemnity insurance sized for commercial work
  • QBCC-licensed contractor, ISO-accredited safety and quality systems
  • Rigging and rope access delivery — no scaffolding cost unless the job needs it
  • Photographic sign-off on completed work
  • Single point of contact from quote through to invoice

How we work.

Every job follows the same documented process — survey, rig, execute, sign-off. We assess access requirements, anchor points, and site hazards before a single rope goes up. Once on the ropes, an IRATA-trained crew works the panes with the trade qualifications the work actually requires. On completion, photographic records go to the building manager so there’s a paper trail beyond the invoice.

Common questions.

Why rope access for glazing rather than scaffolding?

For most repair and replacement work above the ground floor, scaffolding is the expensive part of the job — both in dollars and in delay. Rope access lets a competency-verified glazier reach the same pane in a fraction of the setup time, without restricting ground-floor access or imposing scaffolding loads on the building. For larger new-install programmes scaffolding may still be the right tool, and we’ll say so.

Are your glaziers actually qualified glaziers, or rope techs who do glass?

Both. Konstruct fields an IRATA-certified crew, competency-verified across glazing, carpentry, and rope access — the trade qualification sits alongside the IRATA training, not behind it.

Do you do single panes or only larger programmes?

Both. We handle single broken panes in an apartment tower right through to multi-storey curtain wall replacement programmes. The same crew, same equipment, same insurance cover — sized to the job.
